Foreign Ministry updates travel recommendations for Turkey
Slovak Foreign Ministry has updated travelling recommendation for Turkey, in the reaction to the current situation in the country. It states that Slovaks should determine whether visiting certain parts of Turkey is indeed necessary. Additionally, the ministry advises Slovaks to stay at least 40 kilometres away from the Turkish-Syrian and Turkish-Iraqi borders. Travel agencies, however, remain calm. "Our clients are safe, since they are not in the regions where protests take place," said Vladimír Koláček of the Globtour travel agency for the daily Nový Čas. Mária Gallová of the Satur travel agency added that the protests hit cities, not holiday resorts.
