The influence of robotic automation was the main topic of informal talks between EU Labour Ministers held in Bratislava on Thursday and Friday. According to the World Economic Forum robots are taking more and more jobs and they will replace more than 5 million positions in the world's top economies by 2020. Digitisation, the ageing of the population and economic migration in the EU were also among the topics on the agenda. Participants also took part in a working trip to I.D.C. Holdings, a branch of Sereď Bakeries in western Slovakia. The company represents a modern example of the impact of digitisation and automation on the character of work.
