On Thursday, the opposition party Ordinary People filed a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator over the suspicion of forging the signature of the Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko. The allegedly forged signature was on an authorisation document from July 7. It authorised the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Andrej Hrnčiar to lead the session. On this date, a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Robert Fico was scheduled. Chaos emerged in Parliament after other Deputy Speaker of Parliament Lucia Nicholsonová of the Opposition party Freedom and Solidarity opened the extraordinary session in a manner that the Coalition labelled as a gross violation of the Parliamentary Rules. Subsequently, Hrnčiar terminated the session claiming to be the only person to preside over the session during Danko's absence. Later in the day he published a photograph of an authorisation document on Facebook. The Opposition has statements from several graphologists claiming that the signature isn't Danko's. However, an expert on signatures, Mária Zelenková stated that no conclusions can be drawn from analysing the signature. Meanwhile, Hrnčiar removed the photograph of the document from his Facebook account.
