Most Slovaks prefer a summer holiday by the sea, shows research conducted by the Platy web portal. Almost half of the respondents would like to spend their holiday by the sea, a sightseeing holiday would be preferred by 14% of them. This year less than half of Slovaks will treat themselves to summer holidays and a third will go on without a summer break. "An interesting fact is that people who earn under €1,500 per month usually skip holidays due to financial reasons. If people with a monthly income over €1,500 do not go for holiday, it is especially because of their work duties," said Miroslav Dravecký of the Platy web portal.
