Slovak President Andrej Kiska and European and Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák sent condolences to their Italian counterparts over the train accident that claimed the lives of at least 20 people on Tuesday. The head-on collision of two passenger trains took place on a single-track line between the towns of Bari and Barletta in southern Italy. The details leading to the cause of the crash remain unclear.
