A total of 25 Slovak police officers are currently helping the police in Macedonia in the fight against illegal migration, stated the Police Corps Presidium on Tuesday. Although Macedonia isn't a member of the EU, it's located on the so-called Balkan route used by migrants on their way to western European countries. So far, the Slovak Senior Police officers and Macedonian Police expressed full satisfaction with how they are carrying out their duties. The officers are due to return to Slovakia on July 24.
