The Antimonopoly Office has fined the Rajo dairy company and eight retail chains a total of €10 million. The reason given was alleged illegal agreements regarding the prices of milk, butter and cream which put customers at a disadvantage. The prices of products were allegedly agreed with Tesco, Kaufland, Billa, Coop Jednota, CBA, Terno, Moja Samoška and Carrefour. The office convicted the companies due to confiscated emails. The Bratislava based dairy company considers the accusation to be fabricated and has appealed against the decision. So far, only Billa has admitted to wrongdoing and will therefore pay half of its fine.
