Two Chinese men were caught illegally fishing 78 Crayfish in the Bukovec water reservoir near Košice, Eastern Slovakia. Crayfish in Slovakia belong to the group of animals under year-long protection. Thus, the men caused a total damage of €7,020 and were accused of breaching Animal Welfare legislation. Police confiscated the crayfish and handed them on to the local fishermen's organisation, which later released the animals back into the water reservoir.
