Prime Minister says Opposition is frustrated

The 100-days rule regarding the new government does not exist in Slovakia at all, said Prime Minister Robert Fico for the TV channel TA3. According to him, "100 days has been a very short time period, which was also marked by preparations for the presidency". Fico noted this in response to criticism from the Opposition that claimed, during this time, the government has not been very active in new legislature. Last month the Opposition has initiated three no-confidence motions against the Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák and Prime Minister Robert Fico, accusing both politicians of involvement in tax fraud. According to Robert Fico such opposition actions stem from the frustration of not being in government. He reiterated that the forming of the coalition is a historical compromise, which is sustainable in the long term.
