Overall unemployment in Slovakia has fallen by 34.7% in Slovakia over the past six years, states a bulletin issued recently by the Express People personnel agency. Meanwhile, the minimum wage in Slovakia has risen by 31.6% over the past six years to stand at €405 per month. When it comes to industry, the average monthly salary in Slovakia is currently slightly higher than in the Czech Republic, €978 and €975, respectively. Moreover, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic announced that exports rose by 9.5% year-on-year as of this May. Imports to Slovakia have risen by 6.8% in the same period.
