The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute has issued warnings for high temperatures across Slovakia on Monday and Tuesday. Heat alerts have been issued for all regions, excluding northern locations. On Monday temperatures were expected to peak at between 33 and 35 °C and Tuesday is expect to be even warmer with a second degree warning in force for most regions. However, the heat should not last too long. On Wednesday a significant drop in temperatures is expected.
