Zuzana Mauréry received an award for the best actress at the 51st International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, last weekend. She starred in the main role of a Czech-Slovak coproduction movie called 'Teacher', directed by Jan Hřejbek. The movie, set in Slovakia in 1980's, tells the story of a widowed female teacher who manipulates everyone around her. The film is the first majorly Slovak production in five years that competed at the festival in Karlovy Vary. It will start its screening on July 21.
