More effective usage of EU funds in developing cities and regions, supporting innovative entrepreneurs and building digital and smarter cities are the main topics of the seventh European Summit of Regions and Cities held in Bratislava this weekend. Approximately one thousand mayors and other representatives of cities and regions from across Europe are expected to take part at the Summit which aims to bring elected representatives from regional and local authorities together to discuss the main challenges facing the European Union. The main venue of the weekend event will be the new building of the Slovak National Theatre. On this occasion, the city of Bratislava has prepared a cultural program in the Old Market Building at SNP square.
