Slovak shooter Zuzana Rehák-Štefečeková successfully defended her position as European Champion in the trap discipline in Lonato, Italy, on Wednesday. She managed to win in spite of the fact that this was her first competition this year. The gold medal she won is her seventh from the European Shooting Championships. Štefečeková was supposed to represent Slovakia at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, however at the end of last year she announced she will not participate because of 'maternal duties'.
