Slovakia wants to strengthen the single internal market, stabilise migration policy, and hopes for Europe to be a stronger global player, said Prime Minister Robert Fico on the public broadcaster RTVS' show O 5 minút 12 (5 Minutes to 12) on Sunday. As Robert Fico stated, the agenda of the Slovak presidency will be strongly affected by terrorism, Brexit and by migration. He believes that the EU's member states can agree on a common European coast guard and the improved registration of incoming refugees. Robert Fico, however, thinks there is no chance that the €250,000 fee per migrant whose application for asylum was rejected can be adopted.
