Securing jobs and prosperity - this is the key topic of the Labour Ministry during the Slovak presidency of the EU Council. Its spokesperson Michal Stuška stated that the department is focusing on three areas; the support and development of dignified work, the fight against poverty and social exclusion, and the creation of new jobs -meaning increasing the employment in individual member countries. The new challenges that labour markets face will be discussed at an informal Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council meeting in Bratislava already next week. The topic will be discussed in the context of change in three areas: digitalisation of the labour sphere, aging of the population and migration.
