Interior Minister faces no-confidence vote again

A second no-confidence vote in three weeks against Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák is the main topic of Thursday's extraordinary parliamentary session. It was initiated by the opposition, Freedom and Solidarity and Ordinary People, after new findings in Kaliňák's scandal were discovered following the first unsuccessful vote. The interior minister was allegedly involved in the tax frauds of Ladislav Bašternák and covered the case up. The coalition unanimously backs the minister. However, two members of the European parliament for Kaliňák's native Smer-SD party joined the opponents of the Interior Minister.
