Health care for Slovaks and other EU's citizens in the UK and vice versa is one of very many issues that need to be solved after Brexit. However, at the moment no one knows what the changes will be. Holders of the European health insurance card are eligible for free basic health care in 28 EU member countries. Moreover, countries like Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland also accept the card but the provided service depends on the agreement between the particular country and the EU. Therefore, to what extent will the UK provide health care to EU citizens and vice versa after Brexit will depend on the outcome of the UK exit negotiations and agreements.
