V4 countries want Europe to stay united

Slovakia is ready to organise an informal meeting of foreign ministers from the remaining 27 EU member states to deal with the consequences of Brexit and the future of Europe. Slovakia's Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák announced this after a meeting of the foreign ministers of the V4 countries (the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia), along with Germany and France in Prague. The ministers agreed that it is crucial to secure the unity and further functioning of the EU. They see the EU as a project that their countries need, therefore it is important to make this project last. "We have to deal with why people keep losing their faith in the European project. Today in Prague we have agreed that the EU's renaissance should be managed by the member states," stated Lajčák. He also added that the process of Britain leaving the EU shouldn't be pointlessly delayed. According to him, people both in Britain and the EU are entitled to know exactly what the British decision will bring.
