The annual instalments the state will have to pay for the construction and maintenance of the Bratislava bypass decreased by €3.9 million, reported Transport Minister Roman Brecely. "We've managed to use the situation on European markets in concluding the financial aspect of the contract to our benefit," explained Brecely. He added that this reduction will altogether save the state as much as €127 million. The contract for the Bratislava bypass was signed with a consortium led by the Spanish company Cintra in May of this year. According to the Transport Minister, construction should start in 2017 and take four years and three months.
