Slovak economy on the rise

The Finance Ministry expects the Slovak economy to grow by 3.2% this year, said the ministry's secretary Radko Kuruc at a press conference on Tuesday. The economy is expected to speed up continually in the coming years, with 4.6% growth expected in 2019. Both domestic demand and export should evenly help the boost. Employment should grow in all fields, especially in market services in 2016. The ministry expects employment to be on the rise in 2017 and 2018 as well thanks to increased capacities in the car industry. The average monthly pay should reach €911. The possible upcoming Brexit, an escalation of problems within the EU, and poor results in the US labour market, as well as growing recessions in developing countries are the biggest threats for the Slovak economy.
