Around 3,000 - 4,000 people gathered at a protest rally in front of Premier Robert Fico's apartment in the Bonaparte residential complex in Bratislava on Monday. They protested against the alleged links of PM Fico and Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák to the purported tax frauds of businessman Ladislav Bašternák, owner of the apartment which Fico is renting. Several representatives from the opposition appeared at the protest and gave speeches. The protesters carried banners saying among other things "No to Fico!" and "Kaliňák to Jail". In his reaction to the protests, Fico said that the opposition MPs aim to destabilise Slovakia and are covering up some their own crimes, without specifying them.
