The British referendum on staying within the EU might result in political uncertainty and possibly a fluctuation on European financial markets, says Ján Makúch, governor of the National Bank of Slovakia. Makúch, who is also member of the European Central Bank's Governing Council, says in an interview for TASR that ECB analyses the possibility of Brexit and is ready to react. In addition to the uncertainty on financial markets, Makúch points to the political uncertainty. "The risk of political uncertainty is high in the countries with strong Euro-sceptical parties. A threat of global uncertainty is lower, however," said Makúch.
