Prime Minister Robert Fico had a long phone call with the Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. The main topics of their conversation were the Slovak upcoming presidency of the EU Council and common Slovak-Russian projects. "The Russian Federation is an important economic partner, especially in energy policy," stated Fico. The statesmen also talked about the match between Slovakia and Russia at the European Football Championship that kicks off on Wednesday.
