Several hotels in Bratislava have reported an increased number of reservations due to Slovakia's Presidency of the Council of the EU that is set to begin as of next month. This was reported in the Hospodárske Noviny daily on Tuesday. "In general, reservations have increased by approximately 30 percent", said Austria Trend Hotel business director Dagmar Evans. River Park Grand Hotel and Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel have recorded increased demand as well. The Carlton is located opposite the Reduta historical building, where the main official events will take place. Carlton marketing manager Tatiana Ilievova said that the hotel's capacities are almost full. Hotels and Restaurants Association Secretary-general Marek Harbuľák expects the greatest influx of guests to arrive soon. A total of around 25,000 delegates are expected to come to Slovakia during its presidency.
