The Slovak football national team lost its first ever match at the European Championship against Wales 1:2 in Bordeaux, France on Saturday. Wales took the lead in the 10th minute after a goal from its biggest star Gareth Bale. In the 61st minute Slovaks tied, with a goal by one of the team's youngest players, 21 year old Ondrej Duda. Duda thus became the first Slovak in history to score at the European tournament. In the 81st minute the match winning goal came from Wales' Robson-Kanu. Slovakia's head coach, Ján Kozák:
"It was an unlucky loss. I respect the quality of our opponent. However, when I take a look back Wales wasn't better in any aspect of the game. It just happens sometimes."
After the first two matches within the B group, Slovaks are in last place with no points. On Wednesday, Slovakia will face Russia in Lille.
