The Slovak national football team will play its first ever game at the European Championships against Wales in France on Saturday. The match will take place in Bordeaux with midfielder Marek Hamšík as the captain of the Slovak team. Slovaks will also face Russia and England in their B-Group. There are 6 four-team groups at the Tournament. The first two teams of each group will pass to the knockout stage and the four best third-ranked sides will also progress to the next rounds. The opening match of the championships between hosting France and Romania kicks off on Friday at 9 PM.
