Slovak banks have again slightly raised their forecast for economic growth in Slovakia for this year. According to the September round of the regular survey of the National Bank of Slovakia among bank analysts, they predict GDP growth for the current year to be at 0.9 percent. Compared with August’s forecast, this represents an increase of 0.1 percentage points.
For next year, banks stick to their GDP growth prognosis of 2.2 percent. Together with slightly improved optimism regarding the development of the economy this year, banks are coming with a more positive message for consumers on the price development.
