Interior Ministry: Russian propaganda a threat to Slovakia

The Interior Ministry believes that Russian propaganda is a security threat for Slovakia, reported the news website Actuality.sk on Wednesday. Besides other central and eastern European countries, Slovakia faces so-called hybrid threads. They come from various information channels and aim to destabilise its position within Euro-Atlantic structures. "It will be necessary to impose measures eliminating hybrid threads including propaganda", stated the Interior Ministry for Aktuality.sk. The Czech Republic has already decided to create a team to monitor propaganda, and not only that of Russian origin. "Slovakia should take the same steps", said Jaroslav Naď from the Slovak Security Policy Institute. However, "the Interior Ministry is not planning a similar team, even though we could use the Czech example as an inspiration", stated the Ministry for Aktuality.sk.
