Special flights will be dispatched from M.R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava in connection with the upcoming 2016 UEFA European Championship in France. "Due to the championship, i.e. in the period of June 6 - July 10, eight charter flights from Bratislava airport are planned to head to the cities of Bordeaux, Lyon, Lille and Clermont-Ferrand, with nine arrivals from these cities," said airport spokesperson Veronika Ševčíková. The number of charter flights could, however, still change depending on tour operators' orders. In addition, there are regular flights from Bratislava airport to Paris-Beauvais three times a week. The Slovak national football team is set to leave for the tournament from Bratislava airport at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 6. The first flights for fans are scheduled to take place on June 11.
