Slovak athletics experienced a great revival over the weekend due to the renewal of the legendary international meeting Pravda - Televízia - Slovnaft. Its 51st event took place in a brand new sports complex in Šamorín, close to Bratislava, and featured several records. The world record holder in the hammer throw, Poland's Anita Wlodarczyk, has with 77.7m set the new best of the event. In the 100m sprint, Femi Ogunode of Quatar won with a time of 10.01 seconds, which was also the fastest 100m ever run in Slovakia. Slovak race walker Anton Kučmín has set this season's best in the 3,000m walk, finishing in 11:22.36 minutes, defeating the race walking world champion Matej Tóth.
