"We need to intensify the cooperation with Vienna as these cities are the two closest capitals in the world," said the Bratislava mayor Ivo Nesrovnal at the Slovak Cultural Institute in Vienna on Wednesday. The Institute promoted cultural events in Bratislava for Austrian journalists. Bratislava wants to attract its closest foreign neighbours with its summer cultural programs such as Viva Musica festival or the Coronation Celebrations. According to Nesrovnal, it's a pity that after 25 years since the fall of the Iron Curtain, Bratislava and Vienna have cooperated on only 3 successful projects, the highway, the cyclobridge and the Twin City Liner boat connection.
