On Thursday, President Andrej Kiska met public defender of rights Jana Dubovcová, with her introducing the 2015 yearly report to the president. Andrej Kiska criticised lawmakers for their lack of interest in it. "The European Commission has been pointing to our failure and yet not enough MPs showed up at a session about human rights protection", said Kiska. He further emphasised that if we don't deal with the failing state, extremism will keep growing. President Kiska and the public defender of rights also talked about the problems in the education system. "We need to improve the deficiencies in the school system mentioned by the European Commission, otherwise we might face legal proceedings", emphasised Jana Dubovcová.
