Doctors in Košice, Eastern Slovakia, have mastered a unique operation. Specialist surgeons helped a man with severe face injuries, managing replace a section of his face. By doing so, they succeeded in carrying out the largest facial plastic surgery operation in the world. The doctors created the implant in cooperation with the Technical University in Košice.
