Slovak police have laid accusations against a 47-year-old priest from southern Slovakia who is suspected of abusing an underage girl on more than one occasion, according the police spokeswoman. The tabloid news portal cas.sk reported that the priest in question allegedly met the 11 year old girl between 2011 and 2012, assaulting her sexually.
He also allegedly sent her SMS messages urging her to visit him. Police have claimed the priest sexually abused the child in the presbytery and in the local church. The tabloid news portal reported that the priest had supposedly confessed to loving the girl and touching her intimately. The case is still under investigation, and the Bishop’s Office in Nitra said it has not yet been informed of the case.
