The festival Dolce Vitaj will once again showcase Italian culture and food in Slovakia when it commences on June 1, with a concert taking place on the premises of the Slovak Radio building in Bratislava. In addition to the Slovak capital, the festival will also take place in Martin (Žilina region), Poprad (Prešov region), Trenčianske Teplice (Trenčín region) and Banská Bystrica. "In June, we'll bring you nice weather and the atmosphere of the Italian lifestyle, culture and products. The festival, which is traditionally organised by our institute, will be held under the auspices of Culture Minister Marek Maďarič [Smer-SD] and Bratislava mayor Ivo Nesrovnal", Italian Ambassador to Slovakia Robert Martini told a news conference in Bratislava on Tuesday. "The ninth year of the festival is all the more important, as we'll celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Italian Republic on June 2, and it will be shortly before your Presidency of the EU Council", he added. At the Slovak Radio building, the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra will play famous Italian movie melodies under the guidance of conductor Michelangelo Galeati. The Italian Culture and Cuisine festival will take place in Poprad between June 15-18.
