Finance Ministry to be granted access to information on Slovak money in the US

The state will shed light on Slovak companies that "fled" to tax havens; however, not to Belize or Cyprus but to the United States. The Finance Ministry will exchange information with U.S. authorities for the first time, with the aim being to rap the knuckles of bad taxpayers. The United States is the second most popular tax haven among Slovak companies. "Financial institutions can send the mandatory information to the Tax Directorate until late June of this year. This information will be sent to the United States by late September of this year at the latest," the press service of the Finance Ministry confirmed. This will in fact be the first time that Slovakia will have a full-on overview of its citizens' finances in another country.
