Most young Europeans, including Slovaks, feel to be on the outskirts of society due to the economic crisis, read findings of the new Eurobarometer survey.In Slovakia, the percentage of young respondents who feel this way is 63, which is a very high number according to the Press attaché of the information bureau of the European Parliament in Slovakia Soňa Mellak. "Despite this, there are very few young people in the whole EU who feel they need to leave their country due to the crisis", Mellak noted. The Eurobarometer survey also showed that 90 percent of respondents across the entire EU think that learning about the EU and how it operates is important and more than a third of young Slovaks believe that voting in European Parliament elections is the most effective means of making a change in the public life of the EU.
