The Slovak ice-hockey representation lost two matches over the weekend at the 80th World Ice-hockey Championships in Russia. On Saturday they lost to Canada 0:5 and on Sunday they succumbed to the Finish representation 0:5. Despite the fact that the Slovak ice-hockey team has only 6 points to its name currently, it still stands a chance at advancing into the quarterfinals. To achieve this, the team will have to gain all three points in the Tuesday match against the USA.
