Ukrainian drivers have ended their blockade of the Vyšné Nemecké -Uzhhorod border crossing at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, TASR learnt from Sobrance Border and Alien Police Directorate spokesperson Agnesa Kopernická on the same day. The Ukrainian car owners involved had begun their protest, closing down the border crossing on the Ukrainian side, as of 11.10 am on Tuesday making it impassable for vehicles entering Slovakia. According to Kopernická, the protest concerns Ukrainian legislation that obliges owners of cars bearing Slovak licence plates to leave Ukraine once every few days. The previous protest by Ukrainian drivers was held in early March. At the moment the border crossing is fully passable in both directions.
