Slovak ice hockey representation won in both the first two matches of the IIHF World ice hockey championships in Russia. On Saturday Slovakia defeated Hungary, a newcomer to the A division, 4-1. In the second match the team led by Coach Zdeno Cíger won over France after a well-organized play 5-1. After today's day-off, Slovakia will face Germany on Tuesday.
