UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova is paying her second official visit to the country. She opened her official programme on Friday with a lecture at Comenius University in Bratislava. Her lecture and a subsequent discussion was entitled "Empowering Youth, Promoting Diversity - New Foundation for Resilience and Peace". She also received a Comenius University Gold Medal as well as the Slovak Academy of Sciences' Gold Medal. During her two-day official programme, Irina Bokova is due to meet President Andrej Kiska, several government ministers and officials from Slovak towns listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
