President Praises Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership

On Thursday Slovak President Andrej Kiska received European Commissioner for Digital Economy & Society Guenther Oettinger. They discussed opportunities offered by the European digital market, including the obstacles it's facing. The two officials concurred that investment into the expanding of digital infrastructure and advanced technologies can significantly contribute towards boosting the economic performance of both the European Union and its member countries. They also agreed that the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership will represent a unique opportunity for further economic development in this sphere. European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Günther Oettinger also met with Vice-premier for Investments Peter Pellegrini. As he said, apart from the big topics, they talked about issues that would be addressed by Slovakia during its European council presidency.
