Prime Minister released from hospital

Prime Minister Robert Fico was released from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NÚSCH) in Bratislava on Sunday in order to continue his recovery from heart surgery at home, disclosed the institute's spokesperson, Dobroslava Krajačičová. Fico himself announced his release from hospital on his official Facebook profile, where he thanked the doctors and nurses at the Institute, describing the institute as a top-level facility. In his Facebook post he also thanked all the people that sent him fruit preserves. "The prime minister continues to carry out his official duties and is communicating with his closest professional circle," Fico's spokesperson Beatrice Szabóová told TASR. Fico was admitted to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases on April 14, eventually undergoing a double bypass operation on April 22.
