A fatal shooting claimed the life of a 26-year-old male police officer on Wednesday at the Police Station on Sasinkova Street in Bratislava. The 26 year old was taken to hospital but soon died from gunshot injuries received to the head from a sawn-off shotgun. Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, however criminal prosecutions for manslaughter have begun. "This incident has already taken over by the Inspection Service of the Ministry of Interior, where it will be further investigated", informed Bratislava Regional Police Spokesperson Tatiana Kurucová.
