Butchers, bakers and greengrocers will get almost nothing from the restructuring of the Carrefour retail chain, said Trade and Tourism Association (ZOCR) president Pavol Konštiak at the 2016 European Retail Summit conference on Tuesday in Bratislava. Konštiak went on to say that if they do get something, it will be only three to five percent. The total debt of the company amounts to €7 million. At the same time, he posed the question whether electricians, bricklayers and carpenters differ from those working in agriculture, as they will receive some help from the state. "I'd be very pleased if - with a new Government - a new statute came in ... and there'd be laws that apply to everyone - with no exceptions", said Konštiak.
