The Canadian rating agency Dominion Bond Rating Service (DBRS) has on Friday for the first time ever assigned a rating to the Slovak Republic. The assigned rating is an A (high) with a stable outlook, which is comparable with a current rating of A+, which Slovakia was assigned by the S&P and Fitch agencies. Like other rating agencies, DBRS also sees Slovakia's macroeconomic development as positive. Moreover, the Canadian agency also values Slovakia's responsible fiscal policy and its ability to attract foreign investments.
