Parliamentary Chairman Andrej Danko (SNS) has health problems that might require surgery, Parliament Office Spokesperson Zuzana Čižmáriková confirmed on Thursday. According to the Slovak Constitution, Danko is the second most important leader of the country after the President. "Facing an enormous work stress, partially caused also by the general election, he underwent a standard medical examination at the hands of his doctor because of a recurring stomach ache. The current diagnosis doesn't rule out even potential surgery of the stomach", said Čižmáriková. She added that Danko chose to inform the public in order to prevent the fuelling of speculations.
