Slovakia was one of the key countries during the negotiations on Montenegro's NATO membership, claims Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to NATO Tomáš Valášek, calling it a success we can be proud of. At the same time he warned that while Montenegro received an official invitation to the table in December of 2015, the accession process has still not concluded. Valášek added that the country could become a NATO member within a year.
