Verdict regarding first Slovak terrorist cancelled

Verdict regarding first Slovak terrorist cancelled

Slovakia's Supreme Court has cancelled the Kosice courts' verdict in the case of Slovakia's first terrorist. The Kosice court had sentenced Ladislav K. to 25 years in prison for terrorism and other offences, as he had been responsible for a bomb attack at a Kosice fast food restaurant in 2011 with no injuries and only minor property damage. According to the original court sentence in July 2014, Ladislav K. was dubbed the first ever Slovak sentenced for terrorism. The Supreme Court has failed to be convinced that Ladislav K. wanted to intimidate the public and force the Government to take some action or to adopt measures. The first Slovak sentenced for terrorism will remain in custody during the new trial. The case will go back to the Kosice District Court.
